First World War horses doing gas drill

Men and horses of the Army Service Corps (ASC) undergo an anti-gas drill, somewhere in the UK during the First World War. The original caption helpfully points out that, as horses breathe through their nostrils, their mouths do not need to be covered. With thanks to the Imperial War Museum for another excellent photograph.
