Eric Ravilious


The wonderful Ravilious exhibition at the Dulwich Picture Gallery has now finished, but a post on the museum’s website reveals an interesting story which the exhibition brought to light. A lady got in touch with the Gallery to say she had the log book which recorded Ravilious’ final flight – her father was the pilot of the plane on which Ravilious was travelling when it disappeared off the coast of Iceland in 1942. She was only eight weeks old so never knew her father.
